Game 7: Apprentice School 4, Wright State-Lake Campus 0
Isaac McCallister threw a five-hit shutout with eight strikeouts for Apprentice School as they eliminated Wright State-Lake Campus on Tuesday morning.
The Builders got a run in the first on an RBI single from Jeremy Harmon. In the third, Caleb Russell drove in one with a single and Hunter Johnson drove in a pair with a single to lead 4-0.
Nate Yeary and Matt Phoebus joined Harmon and Johnson with two hits apiece for Apprentice School. Hayden Bill was 2-for-3 to lead Wright State-Lake Campus.

Game 8: Mid Atlantic Christian 5, Penn State Schuylkill 3
Mid Atlantic Christian held off a late charge from Penn State Schuykill for a 5-3 win in an elimination game on Tuesday morning.
The Mustangs got off to a 4-0 lead through four innings on RBI hits from Landen Miller, Josiah Collado, Darius Boswell and Titus Bleckley. Penn State Schuylkill got one back in the top of the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Chris Duffy.
Each team got solo runs back on home runs from Jalyn Lee for MACU in the bottom of the fifth and Nate Gilbert for Penn State Schuylkill in the top of the sixth. Schuylkill got a run in the seventh on a bases loaded walk to Owen Zimmerman, but Lee came in to record the final out on a strikeout to pick up a save. Dakota Jacobsen was the winning pitcher for MACU and was topped at the plate by Adam Schell going 2-for-3.
Next up: Mid Atlantic Christian vs. Florida National, 7 pm, Tuesday, Stern Field.
Game 9: Cincinnati-Clermont 5, Miami Hamilton 4
In a battle for Ohio bragging rights, Cincinnati-Clermont’s Austin Heffner highlighted a five-run fourth with a three-run double as they defeated Miami Hamilton 5-4 in a winner’s bracket semifinal Tuesday.
The Harriers got on the board on an RBI double from Joe Requarth and an RBI single from Bradley Vargas in the third to take a 2-0 lead. A solo home run from Chris Hoffmann in the top of the fourth put them up 3-0.
Cincinnati-Clermont pushed five runs across in the bottom of the fourth with a bases loaded walk to Dominic Wilson and a RBI single from Jack Deeds surrounding the three-run home run from Heffner as they took a 5-3 advantage.
Miami-Hamilton pushed a run across in the fifth on a Vargas solo shot, but that was all they could muster.

Game 10: Penn State DuBois 6, Atlantis 5
In the other winner’s bracket semifinal, Penn State DuBois used a three-run home run from Grant Lillard in the bottom of the fifth to rally and defeat Atlantis 6-5.
Atlantis took an early 3-0 lead after two innings on an RBI fielder’s choice from Henry Estrada and run scoring singles from Orlando Boroto Jr., and Justin Suarez. Penn State DuBois answered with three RBI singles from Colby Bodtorf, Kyle Elensky and Lillard to even the game after three innings.
The Atlanteans pushed two across in the fourth on a sac fly from Suarez and an RBI single from Jonathan Vasallo to take a 5-3 lead. Elvin Granado had three hits to lead Atlantis in the game.
Lillard and Bodtorf had two hits apiece to lead Penn State DuBois.

Game 11: Apprentice School 5, Penn State York 4
A Riggs Ellis single in the bottom of the seventh scored Hunter Johnson with the winning run as Apprentice School eliminated Penn State York.
Gavin Constein put Penn State York on the board with an RBI single in the top of the third, that Apprentice School answered with two runs in its half of the inning on a Nate Yeary single and a Jeremy Harmon double.
Ryan Schubert gave Penn State York a 4-2 lead on a three-run blast in the fourth. Apprentice trimmed the deficit in half with a solo shot from Matt Phoebus in the bottom of the inning. The Builders evened the game on a solo home run from Nate Yeary down the right field line at 4-4.
In the seventh, Hunter Johnson walked and was pinch-ran for by Will Cimburke who advanced to second on an errant pick-off attempt. Justice Winslow was hit by a pitch and Cimburke later moved to third on a wild pitch. Ellis then singled up the middle for the game-winning hit.

Game 12: Florida National 2, Mid Atlantic Christian 1
A pitcher’s duel developed in the final game of Tuesday as Florida National scored single runs in the first and second innings and made that stand in a 2-1 win over Mid Atlantic Christian.
Juan Pablo Arellano threw four innings allowing five hits for the win, while Evan Dalmau threw the final three innings allowing two hits and striking out two for the save.
The Conquistadors scored a run in the first on a Jeremy De La Cruz home run to left center. They scored a second run in the second inning on a sacrifice fly from Jason Altuve to score Matthew Gonzalez for a 2-0 lead.
MACU pushed a run across in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly from Landen Miller to score Adam Schell.
Next up: Florida National vs. Atlantis, 1 pm, Wednesday.
Softball
Game 7: Carlow 9, Bay Path 0
Winning pitcher Clara Niglio was 4-for-5 with four runs scored and struck out seven as Carlow eliminated Bay Path on Tuesday morning.
The Celtics scored three runs in the first, two in the second and one in the third to lead 6-0 through three. They added two in the sixth and one in the seventh for the win.
Megan Pollinger and Francesca Beighley had three hits each for Carlow.
Next up: Carlow vs. Southern Maine CC, 6 pm, Tuesday.
Game 8: Penn State DuBois 6, Lyon 4 (8 innings)
Caitlyn Watson and Natalie Bowser had RBI singles in the eighth inning as Penn State DuBois scored twice to take an extra-inning win over Lyon on Tuesday.
Bowser drove in the first run of the game for Penn State Dubois with a sacrifice fly in the first. Lyon answered with a pair of RBI groundouts and a throwing error in the fourth to take a 3-1 lead. Bowser’s RBI single highlighted a three-run sixth as Penn State DuBois took a 4-3 lead. Mary Duffield tied the game in the seventh on a sacrifice fly.
Duffield was 2-for-4 to lead Lyon, while Bowser was 2-for-3 to lead Penn State DuBois.

Game 9: Penn State Brandywine 5, Penn State New Kensington 4
Peyton Landis had an RBI single to score Emily Regan with the winning run as Penn State Brandywine defeated Penn State New Kensington in a winner’s bracket semifinal Tuesday.
Brandywine scored four runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by a two-run home run from Kaylee Mushinski and a solo shot from Peyton Landis.
New Kensington scratched single runs in the second and third before tying the game with a two-run sixth courtesy of an RBI double from Olivia Waldrop and an RBI single from Linda Shepard.
In the seventh, Regan started with a single and went to second on a bunt single from Mushinski to set up Landis’ game-winning hit.

Game 10: Penn State Mont Alto 8, Penn State Schuylkill 6
Kirsten Dell drove in three runs and Paige Loudenslager drove in a pair as Penn State Mont Alto defeated Penn State Schuylkill in the second winner’s bracket semifinal.
Dell drove in her three runs on a home run to left field in the second and was followed by a Delaney Glazer solo shot to left as Mont Alto took a 5-0 lead in the second inning.
Schuylkill got to within a run at 5-4 highlighted by a two-run single from Cealinn McGroaty and a pair of unearned runs in the top of the fourth. Loudenslager drove in a pair for Mont Alto in the bottom of the fourth to help push the lead to 8-4.
A Mackenzie Carl home run in the top of the fifth and an RBI single from Jade Weiss trimmed the deficit to 8-6, but Schuylkill couldn’t get closer.
Next up: Penn State Mont Alto vs. Penn State Brandywine, 2pm, Wednesday; Penn State Schuylkill vs. Carlow, 10 am, Wednesday.
Game 11: Carlow 8, Southern Maine CC 4
Carlow broke open a close game with a five-run fourth inning as they eliminated Southern Maine CC on Tuesday evening.
Francesca Beighley was 3-for-3 with two RBI’s and two runs scored, while Clara Niglio was 2-for-4 with four RBI’S to lead Carlow at the plate. Niglio drove in two of those with a double in the sixth as Carlow pushed its lead to 8-2.
SMCC trimmed the deficit to 8-4 with a pair of RBI singles in the seventh by Emily Hutchins and Sarah Wilkins. Delanie Perry was 3-for-4 to lead the Seawolves at the plate.
Next up: Carlow vs. Penn State Schuylkill, 10am, Wednesday.
Game 12: Salem 11, Penn State DuBois 3
Brooke Wise was 3-for-4 with three RBI’s and a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth as Salem eliminated Penn State DuBois via the eight-run rule.
Salem put up a five-spot in the bottom of the first highlighted by a three-run double from Alyvia Pittman. Penn State DuBois trimmed the deficit to 5-2 after a run scoring single from Megan Hyde and a sacrifice fly from Caitlyn Watson in the second.
The lead grew to 7-2 for Salem following sacrifice flies by Ricki Garay and Kayla Williams. Watson helped bring Penn State DuBois to 7-3 on a RBI double in the fourth inning.
Meladie Lawrence drove in two with a triple and scored on Wise’s home run to end the game via the eight-run rule.
Next up: Salem vs. Penn State New Kensington, 12 pm, Wednesday.
